Upon Arrival at the Beuna Vista lodge in Costa Rica we were faced with a lot of difficult situations which we were not prepared for whatsoever. I found it hard to deal with at first and it took a long time to settle in to this new life style. It took a little less than a month to fully settle. Everything was new to us; new people, living conditions, foods, environment, weather, intense language barrier and also different people with different mindsets and views. I was thankful that I had a great roommate to help deal with everything and that I didn’t have to go through it alone. I’ve learned to stay positive, to take this experience as a challenge and to also never give up. It’s also great meeting new people who make you feel like you’re at home. This trip is definitely one of the biggest learning experiences I’ve ever had and I am very thankful for it. It’s been 2 months so far and I love it now and sometimes I don’t want to leave. Costa Rica has so much to offer and especially this lodge I am living on. I’m looking forward to many more adventures, learning experiences and challenges in the next month. COSTA RICA! PURA VIDA!
