I can’t believe I am going to Mexico in less than 13 hours! I have never been to Mexico before and looking forward to learning Spanish, cooking authentic Mexican I am excited to dive into the Spanish culture once a food and visiting historical sites while I am there. Having studied Spanish on my own, I look forward to authenticating and continuing to improve my language skills. I highly recommend going any of the trips offers by the GEO office (GCELE, internship and language/culture trip) to those who have never travelled before or are nervous about stepping outside their comfort zone, I say go for it! You won’t regret it; making new friends, immersing yourself in a new culture, tasting new foods and getting a new perspective on life. There are so many new opportunities that will challenge you and make you think. Travelling makes you realize what you are capable of.
Here are some travel tips for future travellers….
Chloe’s travel tips for today:
1) Pack light (you really don’t need as many items/clothes as you think)
2) Use carry-on luggage only (so you bag won’t get lost)
3) Roll everything (it doesn’t wrinkle your clothes and it save a ton of space) trust me!
Off I go on my Mexico adventure!
