Estoy en Costa Rica, yes I have finally made it to Costa Rica and I am thrilled. Its nerve racking not knowing what to expect upon your arrival, but my companion and I Gherramei another student from centennial, were greeted by the warmest and kindest people. Even though I have only been here for 4 days I feel like its been weeks. I started my first week in the reception, and there is so much going on and so many tasks that have to be completed that you forget to breathe a little bit. But I have been having a fantastic time every one that I have met has a different character to them, and I love it, you feel at home instantly, its like going to work with your brothers and sisters. My favorite job so far is working at the water slide and reception because I get to interact with people and I also get to work on my Spanish skills. Today is the 12th and it has been a very exciting day for me because the ambassador from china has come to stay for a little bit. Even though it’s my first time in Costa Rica I really feel like I am a local, and it really is a great feeling. I don’t know what to expect for the rest of the trip but I am positive it will be filled with many memorable experiences and interesting pronunciations. Oh and the food is really good, waking up to a whole plate of food in the morning is lovely. I am so excited. Thank you centennial for this great experience not only has this experience opened my eyes in the short amount I’ve been here it has definitely opened my heart.
