I am very sorry that I have not been blogging and posting pictures due to a busy few weeks. I am back on track with traveling; first I was heading to Switzerland and next weekend to Berlin. It has been great in Germany, everybody is friendly and willing to help. The semester is coming to an end, exams and presentations are near so I will only be able to travel for a bit until the winter break (which I will be spending in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Zagreb, Scotland or Ireland, and London. My next excursion is next weekend and I am going to Berlin, Germany. For those who has been following me during my last few excursions here is a new scenery. The Student Association at Reutlingen University organized a Ski/Snowboard trip to Davos, Switzerland for the weekend. Two days of skiing on “Mountain Davos”. I gotta say, this was the best skiing experience of my life; the scenery was great, the weather was perfect, and the slopes were amazing. I have not been to many ski resorts but I would recommend the Swiss Alps in Davos for those who loves skiing and/or snowboarding.
PICTURE PERFECT DAY!
Day 1 was not so great with the weather but I tried to make the best out of it.
Standing on top of one of the highest points of the mountain admiring the fantastic view.
The mountain was so high up where we had to take a train 1750ft to reach the base of the first slope. The first train brought people up to the easier slopes and the following train brought people another 2500ft reaching the top. This was my first time skiing on a mountain where they needed train services.
Overhead view of Davos.
Day 2 and the weather is a lot warmer and a lot less cloud coverage.
My ski partner, Sarah and I are about to go down our first slope of the day.
Nothing could beat this view!
Or this!
Or this!
My 2 ski/snowboard partners, Mason on the left and Sarah on the right. Mason is the pro snowboarder and Sarah and I have not skied for a while. Sarah has not skied for over 6 years and I have not skied since I was 12 years old. Mason decided to go on challenging slopes so Sarah and I decided Y.O.L.O. Every slope Mason went on, we were right behind him, maybe not as fast but we made it to the bottom in one piece.
I hope you’ll enjoy all of these amazing pictures of Davos, Switzerland and I will stay in touch next week for my Berlin trip.
