Recap: TUAS summer school at Turku, Finland

It’s been a week after the summer program ended on Aug 23， sorry for not blogging promptly.

The two weeks summer program organized by Turku University of Applied Science was very intense and yet interesting and full of fun. Each of us has been so busy with the classes and followed by lots of social event going on almost every day after school.

Finland is famous of its education system. I was very lucky to get the chance to study in Finland for a very short time. The summer program I picked to do was Finnish culture, there wasn’t surprise at all when the very first lesson begun with the Finnish eduction system. In addition, the whole class was very enjoy in learning Finnish culture and at the same time the teaching method from our lecturer made us not only learning things about Finland while we also learnt a bit from each of the summer school student came from all around the world. There were many group works, discussions and presentations involved, that seemed too much work at the beginning but it turned out great!

The hightlight of this GEO experience in Turku should be the every evening social programs. We’ve lots of fun time in sighseeing tour, the Global Village evening, All Finland supporters Football game, Archipelago day trip, traditional Finnish sauna, visit Luostrainmaki Handicrafts Museum and the final day Finnish cottage farewell party. All of these made us into a absolutely solid group. Students and tutors are amazing people .

It was too good to be true. I wish I could stay longer.

P.S. I would like to take chance to thank the international office for sending me to Turku and took part in the summer program. Fantastic experience!
