Excitement and anticipation are the words that best describe how I feel as I explore La Rioja, Spain. Excitement, because I enjoy the Spanish language and I look forward to increasing my knowledge in the language. Anticipation, because I have never been to Europe or a non-english speaking country. Therefore, with great anticipation, I’m eager to visit shopping malls, historical sites, restaurants and many more places. Furthermore, I look forward to interacting with the native speakers, which will help improve my speech 🙂 . But above all, my desire is to use the knowledge I gain for my future career as a journalist; after all, I might be assigned to cover a news story in a Spanish-speaking country. Therefore, this wonderful, adventurous experience will prepare and assist me for the future 🙂 .
