It was Lantern Festival yesterday and firecrackers were set from morning to midnight. Lantern Festival is on the lunar fifteenth and is the first day of the year with full moon. We eat sweet dumplings on this day. Sweet dumplings are made of rice flour with sweet sesame,peanut or red been stuff inside. In the past, Chinese would hang lanterns onthis day, and there would be riddles on the lanterns so that people can guess and solve them for entertainment. And this is why it’s called the Lantern Festival today. The Lunar New Year is considered to the end after the LanternFestival and most schools will reopen the next day.
